The Secret is a red wine of the D.O. Ribera del Duero elaborated by Entrecanales Domecq e hijos. An international style in which freshness and fruit prevail. Thanks to an exhaustive selection of the best parcels of Ribera and a selected grape harvest, we have created a fresh, intense and expressive wine: a modern Ribera del Duero. A new way of interpreting this denomination from the respect for its terroir and its fruit.

Secreto, the most personal collection of Almudena Alberca, our oenologist and technical director, is a tribute to the diversity of areas, soils and vineyard situations in the D.O. Riverbank. A terroir that is expressed through a trilogy of wines (Secreto, Secreto 2 RS and Secreto 3 RB) that travel to the earth to show all the personality of the Tempranillo grape in the best vineyards of this appellation, as diverse as it is unique.

Aged in French Oak barrels for 12 months, and a further 10 months in bottles before release.

The vines are of an average age of 60 years, planted at more than 900m altitude on sand, clay and limestone in areas that run from Soria to Valladolid, passing through Burgos.

The secret is intense red color. It is a wine perfumed with notes of black and red fruits, combined with balsamic touches, light spices and violet flowers.

In the mouth it is round, juicy and fresh. Long and mineral finish. Perfect balance in which the freshness prevails in front of the wood.

Almudena Alberca MW is moving onto higher ground with Viña Mayor year after year. This is a wine for hedonists: intensely fragrant, deftly built on bright and expressive fruit, an excellent entry point to the attractiveness of Tempranillo fruit and a most appealing expression of Ribera. Juicy and appetising, round and mellow, creamy and chalky, this is the result of masterly fruit selection and careful winemaking. The wine will keep, but it is made to be drunk on its fruit.

his deep-ruby-hued wine offers a bouquet of black cherry, violet and a hint of licorice. It is bright on entry, and then firm tannins fill the palate alongside flavors of blackberry, raspberry, citrus zest, lavender and sage. The sense of brightness lingers on the palate into a juicy finish.

Walnuts and hazelnut chocolate to the nose with finely roasted spices. Tight and juicy on the medium- to full-bodied palate with chewy tannins that will need a few years to integrate. Medium-long finish. Drink after 2023.
