Terre Paisible is an estate located on Wemmershoek Road in Franschhoek, South Africa, known for producing high-quality wines and extra virgin olive oils. It emphasizes a commitment to sustainable agriculture and a deep respect for the land.

The estate is home to rare blocks of registered Old Vine Sauvignon Blanc, with some vines dating back to 1987, highlighting their dedication to preserving viticultural heritage. Their wine portfolio includes the “Terre Paisible Range” (featuring wines like “Les Dames de 1987” Sauvignon Blanc and “Isabelle” Rosé) and the “Vigne d’Or Range.”
Beyond wine, Terre Paisible cultivates 22 hectares of olive orchards, producing three distinct styles of extra virgin olive oil from five Italian olive varieties.

Vinification
Each of the traditional Bordeaux varietals in this complex wine underwent fermentation in large oak fermenters. After malolactic
fermentation the separate components were further matured in Taransaud barrels for an additional 8 months before being blended.
The Shiraz – vinified separately in new French oak for 10 months gives intensity and structure to the blend, adding dimension and intrigue.

There is an indescribable moment of recognition when a true great red blend is encountered. It is both awe and celebration
for it is not something that is easily found – but when a master craftsman is allowed to do his work, the result is incomparable.

The Vigne d’Or 2018 Red Blend has a dark, brooding appearance. Opulent aromas of dried cherries, tobacco, cocoa bean and cured leather.
A rich, ripely styled wine. The palate is packed with fine grained tannins providing generous mouthfeel and a long lasting, flavourful finish.
