Description
The founding idea of Brimoncourt is to get back to the original DNA of champagne, to the time when it was a light and joyful wine for celebration, a wine to be shared with people but not in a formal way.
For three centuries, Champagne has been synonym of fine tables, subtlety and inspired savoir-vivre… Brimoncourt is our tribute to these for-ever Champagne values: elegance, independence, sharing and lightness.
A Daring Move – This signature is that of a charming dissenter: Alexandre Cornot. Passionate being, admirer of the terroir and Champagne lover, he breathes character and exigency into each and every one of the House’s creations.
A Joyful Expression – At Brimoncourt, we are proud of developing a lively and creative brand with strong personalities who share a common vision and passion for this wonderful wine that is Champagne. More than just a great wine, Brimoncourt is a way of being, inspired by free spirits: it is a chivalrous desire, a sophisticated response to convenience and boredom.
Cradle of Champagne – Our wines are born in Aÿ, in the historical heart of the Champagne vineyard, in nearly bicentenary buildings and gardens. This anchorage in Aÿ is also a promise and compels us to bring a special care to the selection of vines and grapes when creating the Brimoncourt wines.
Blends & grape varieties – Our Chardonnays, characterised by their fine bubbles and their floral notes, are made from the finest vintages of the Sézanais and the Côte des Blancs. Our Pinots Noir and Pinots Meunier stem from the Montagne de Reims and the Marne Valley. François Huré, Chief Oenologist, strives to respect our Champagne terroir and is a master in the art of blending.
Blend – Composed of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir.
Dosage – 6 g/L
Winemaking – Stainless steel vats
Ageing – 48 months
Elegant & Fresh
Dominated by Chardonnay, Brut Régence has a great aromatic fineness and embodies Brimoncourt’s spirit and signature. It is a gallant wine all the more seducing with its freshness, round texture and delicately fruity finish.
Ideal for an aperitive, to pair with truffed tarama, fined cured meat such as coppa or pata negra. Brimoncourt Brut Régence matches also perfectly with fish tartar, poached turbot with mousseline sauce and snacked scallops.
Tasting by Gérard Basset MW – Best sommelier of the World
Eye – An elegant, clear and golden robe lit up with a generous string of fine and dancing bubbles.
Nez – A subtle and delicate nose of white flowers (acacia). Beautiful freshness and great fineness. The open and flexible attack on the palate blooms with slight toasted aromas of white peach.
Palais – The first freshness in the mouth is tempered by the fruit of Pinot Noir structuring the wine. A perfectly balanced champagne, without heaviness or excessive sweetness. Soft notes lit up with fine and silky bubbles.
James Suckling – 91 points
A lightly toasty and flavorful Champagne with notes of praline, candied walnut, lemon peel and grilled orange. Fine bubbles. Pretty balance of toasty nut and zesty citrus. Dry feel. Drink now.
Wine Enthusiast – 91 points
Dominated by Chardonnay, the Champagne is tight with concentrated acidity to go with the vivid white fruits. The wine is dry while also rich, with tense fruit and a structure needing a while to soften. Drink the bottling from 2023.
Decanter – 89 points
This has some lovely fruits on the nose. Clean minerality on the palate is joined by a lovely, developed autolytic character of biscuit, toast and brioche.
